Rassie van der Dussen held one end strongly and continued to score runs to bring up a welcome half-century. After the fall of van der Dussen, all the onus was on MI skipper Kieron Pollard. Before getting out in the 19th over, he had scored 33 runs from 16 balls with a total of 1 four and 4 sixes. Pollard played at a strike rate of 206.25. However, the wickets continued to fall from the other end and no other batsman other than van der Dussen, Ryan Rickleton, and Pollard were able to turn to double digits and got out cheaply.
Wayne Parnell was the star of the show for the Pretoria Capitals with the ball and picked up a four-wicket haul. On the other hand, Adil Rashid and Eathan Bosch picked up 2 wickets each whereas Colin Ackermann ended up with 1 wicket.
Pretoria Capitals are not in the best of forms in the current edition of the SA20 2024 and are currently placed at the bottom of the table with just two wins from 9 games. On the other hand, MI Cape Town’s present edition of the SA20 is not up to the mark and they are in the fourth spot with 3 wins from 9 games and have 13 points on the board.
