Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Nitish Rana had a terrific outing with the bat in the game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The 11th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is taking place at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday (30th March).
Nitish Rana, who walked out at number three, set the stage on fire with his brilliant innings for Rajasthan Royals. The left-hander was allowed to bat a bit higher in the batting order, and he repaid the faith of the management with his blistering innings.
Nitish Rana slammed a magnificent half-century, and even after that, he kept going at the Chennai Super Kings bowlers. The left-hander attacked every bowler, in particular Ravichandran Ashwin, as he put Rajasthan Royals in a commanding position in the game.
With the way he was batting, Nitish Rana was looking all set for the brilliant ton. But his stay at the crease was cut short by the brilliance of Ravichandran Ashwin and MS Dhoni, who combined together to send the batter packing in the 12th over of the innings.
Ravichandran Ashwin fired the delivery wide outside off with a pause action as Nitish Rana had committed to running down the pitch. He was stranded after failing to reach it and MS Dhoni behind the stumps gathered it and did what he does best to end Rana's innings.
