Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan lashed out at his teammate Karim Janat in the middle of the pitch. The incident happened during Afghanistan's final Super 8 match against Bangladesh at St. Vincent.
It all took place during the third ball of the last over of Afghanistan's innings when Rashid Khan tried a helicopter shot through the leg side but instead skewed the ball to the off-side. The cover fielder couldn't get to the ball in time as it fell just ahead of him.
In between, Shakib Al Hasan, running from point, threw the ball to the bowler. Meanwhile, Rashid was trying to take the second run and even ran halfway through the pitch. But his batting partner Karim Janat wasn't interested in taking the second run and denied his captain.
A furious Rashid Khan threw his bat in anger in the middle of the pitch as he escaped his way by running back towards the non-striker's end and just got back in time. Afterward, Janat gave away the bat to his captain as Rashid was still seen yelling some words in anger towards his batting partner.

Afghanistan batters find it difficult on a tricky pitch
Talking about the match, Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat on a tricky pitch at St. Vincent. It was a slow start from Afghanistan as they struggled for timing throughout the innings. The openers put on 59 for the opening wicket.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 43 runs but took 55 balls for his innings. His opening partner Ibrahim Zadran also struggled as he scored 18 off 29 balls. None of the middle-order batters could find his touch as Afghanistan could not find that final flourish.
Only Rashid Khan, who came in to bat at No. 7 in the 18th over, showed his hitting prowess and provided the late push that Afghanistan needed badly. Rashid hit three sixes in his innings to score 19 off just 10 balls to lift Afghanistan to 115.
For Bangladesh, almost all the bowlers bowled well and did their job. Taskin Ahmed picked up 1-12 in four overs while legspinner Rishad Hossain shone with 3 wickets for 26 runs.
There were several rain stoppages during the match but fortunately, the match was started without any overs lost.
Important match for Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Australia
The match holds the utmost importance for both teams apart from Australia, who lost their last Super 8 match to India. Afghanistan just needs to win this match to secure a semi-final spot.
Bangladesh needed to chase down the target inside 12.1 overs, which they were unable to do. So, they are already out of contention. Australia will secure their qualification as the second team from Group 1 after India if Bangladesh goes on to win from here.
The semi-final scenario has been decided for one match where India will face England at Guyana in the repeat of the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final. The other semi-final will take place in Trinidad where South Africa is still awaiting their opponents.
