India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli didn't have a great outing with the bat in the ongoing game against the New Zealand National Cricket Team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai is hosting the match between the teams.

Virat Kohli, who walked out to bat at No.3, looked to play aggressively right from the start. The batter, who slammed a hundred in the last game against the Pakistan National Cricket Team, couldn't carry on from where he left off as he was back in the powerplay itself as India lost the third wicket.

Virat Kohli, however, couldn't do much about that dismissal as he perished to the brilliance of Glenn Phillips in the field. The India National Cricket Team batter played a hard cut against Matt Henry that flew quickly to the right of the Phillips at the point.

As the ball was coming fast, Glenn Phillips picked it up late and, with an outstretched right hand, grabbed it even though he was horizontal to the ground. He managed to keep the ball in hand even after he fell on the ground, and his catch even left Virat Kohli in shock.

Even after going back to the dressing room, Kohli couldn't believe the way he got out. While he was still in shock, Ravindra Jadeja made sure that rubs salt in the wounds of the India batter as he was seen analyzing the catch while sitting beside the batter in the dugout.

Ravindra Jadeja was seen stretching his arms in front of Kohli, who was seen eating fruit. The two were then seen chatting with each other as the video of the incident went viral on the internet.

Virat Kohli was back in the hut after scoring 11 runs off 14 balls, Shreyas Iyer, and Axar Patel brought India back

Kohli couldn't make a bigger impact in the game. He was back in the hut after scoring 11 runs off 14 balls. He slammed two boundaries in his innings and with his wicket, the India National Cricket Team were left tottering at 30/3 and came under massive pressure.

However, after that, Shreyas Iyer, along with Axar Patel (42), brought the India National Cricket Team back into the game. The duo soaked in all the pressure and added 98 runs for the fourth wicket, taking the team past 100 runs on the board with ease.

Shreyas Iyer, in particular, has looked pretty solid with the bat. The middle-order batter has slammed a magnificent half-century and is looking all set for a ton. The onus now will be on him, along with KL Rahul, to take their team to the big total on the board.
