Rinku Singh had to leave the field after suffering a knee injury during the third T20I between India and Bangladesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
The incident took place in the very first over of Bangladesh's first innings. On the first ball of the over, Mayank Yadav dismissed Parvez Hossain Emon for a duck. And on the second ball of the over, Rinku Singh suffered the injury while fielding.
Mayank bowled a length delivery to Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and the latter clipped the ball towards on side. Rinku Singh then ran towards square leg to stop the ball but ended up falling awkwardly on his knee as he made a sliding effort.
He looked in pain straightaway and was seen hobbling before eventually deciding to leave the field. Commentator Murali Kartik confirmed that the batsman had left the field and was replaced by Tilak Varma.
