India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is known for his unique ways of dealing with things. Over the years, he has improved a lot and his confidence has grown as well.

While he is an enterprising batter and plays shots that only he can play, he has his ways of keeping the ball out. During the second innings of the first Test between India and Bangladesh, he brought out another unique way to keep the viewers entertained.

During the 42nd over of the innings, Mehidy Hasan Miraz bowled a ball from over the wicket that pitched outside leg stump. Pant was not interested in playing the ball and kicked it away with his right leg as the ball went towards short leg.

It was a typical Rishabh Pant's way of dealing with things. While he has unique shots in his armoury, he way of defending a ball is also unique but effective.

Rishabh Pant shows his aggression

Meanwhile, Pant was brilliant in this innings as he displayed the range of shots that he has always been known for. He took his time in the morning session but accelerated as his innings went ahead. The wicketkeeper-batter was in fine form and displayed why he is one of the best keeper-batters in the world.

He played shots all around the ground and displayed tremendous aggression against all the Bangladesh bowlers. The bowlers had no answer to his antics. During his innings, Pant offered one opportunity as well but the catch was dropped off Shakib Al Hasan's bowling.

But Rishabh Pant kept on making merry. He also hit his trademark one-handed six and the reverse-sweep as well. Bangladesh, on the other hand, tried every defensive tactic to stop Pant's belligerence. But it did not happen as it was Pant's day.

Shubman Gill silences his critics

Alongwith Pant, Shubman Gill also looked in fine form. Gill made a superb comeback from his duck in the first innings and showed why he is regarded so highly in Indian cricket. He used his feet against the spinners and hit sixes at will.

Both Gill and Pant tormented Bangladesh's bowlers and took the match away from them. At lunch, India were 205-3 with Shubman Gill unbeaten on 86 off 137 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes. On the other end, Rishabh Pant is not out on 82 off 108 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes.

The pitch also eased out and Bangladesh bowlers' confidence also went down as both Pant and Gill started finding their groove.

Both have formed an unbeaten partnership of 138 runs and look set to score big. Both the youngster will be aiming for their hundreds in the second session and build on the lead to knock Bangladesh out of the match.
