India captain Rohit Sharma has been spot-on as a leader in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against New Zealand. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

Rohit Sharma has been one of the major reasons behind India being on the top of the game against New Zealand. The skipper has been tactically brilliant and has made magnificent bowling changes that haven't allowed the opposition batters to settle at all.

Rohit Sharma also has been making sure that he gets behind every player in his team and has been animated as well on the field. The India captain however made one error on the field.

It was during the 5th ball of the 35th over when Axar Patel bowled a delivery, and Daryl Mitchell went on the back foot to pull. However, he didn't get the proper connection and managed to get it over the mid-wicket, where India captain Rohit Sharma was stationed.

Rohit Sharma leapt up and outstretched his right hand but only managed to help it over the bar in football parlance, giving life to Daryl Mitchell. This left his wife Ritika Sajdeh, who was in the stands, extremely disappointed.

The catch went on to cost India a bit as Daryl Mitchell slammed a fifty. Although, it was a slowest fifty, his innings helped New Zealand post a fighting total on the board. The right-hander played a knock of 63 runs off 101 balls, slamming three boundaries during his stay at the crease.

Daryl Mitchell, along with Glenn Phillips, who played an innings of 34 runs, brought New Zealand back into the game with their partnership. After their wicket, Michael Bracewell came up with the late blitz, batting down the order, as he hit an unbeaten 51 runs off 32 balls to take his team to a total of 251 runs on the board.

Rohit Sharma, in the chase, started off well with the bat. The batter started his innings with the massive six and has provided his team with a decent start again. He would be keen to carry on and take his team to the win in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
