India captain Rohit Sharma led from the front in the ongoing semi-final 2 of the T20 World Cup 2024 against England National Cricket Team. The match between the two teams is underway at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

Rohit Sharma continued his magnificent touch with the bat in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 and made sure that he stepped up big time for his team in the semi-final of the tournament. The batter looked in terrific touch and put the England bowlers under pressure.

Rohit Sharma in the start looked scratchy but he adapted to the conditions pretty well as he then batted with great caution and also made sure that he kept the run rate in check. The India captain played some crisp shots in his innings and ensured that his team stayed at the top.

Adil Rashid bowled a googly to which Rohit Sharma swung across the line. He got beaten all ends up and the stumps got rattled. The ball stayed low and went under the bat of India's captain, who tried to smack it out of the park.

Rohit Sharma played a sensational innings of 57 runs off 39 balls in the ongoing semi-final against England. The India captain batted with a strike rate of over 146 and also hit 6 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. He along with Suryakumar Yadav (47) added 73 runs and kept the team in the hunt.

India posts a total of 171 runs on the board

After the India captain got out, Suryakumar Yadav played a vital hand of 47 runs for his team but couldn't carry as he perished to Jofra Archer. Following his wicket, vice-captain Hardik Pandya came out all guns blazing and played a vital cameo for his team.

Hardik Pandya scored 23 runs off 13 balls but with his wicket, England made a strong comeback. Shivam Dube bagged a golden duck as India came under pressure. However, it was Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel, who made sure India ended the innings on high.

Ravindra Jadeja scored unbeaten 17 runs off 9 balls while Axar Patel slammed 10 runs off 6 balls as India posted a fighting total of 171 runs on the board. They now would be hoping to defend the target and advance to the final of the tournament.
