Team India skipper Rohit Sharma took a one-handed ripper at mid-off during Bangladesh's first innings of the ongoing second and final Test. Rohit Sharma's stunning catch ended Bangladesh wicketkeeper batter Litton Das' innings for a low score in the first session on the fourth day of the second Test.
The visiting team started the four days' play with a total of 107-3 at the Green Park in Kanpur. The second and third days' play were abandoned without a ball being bowled due to the outfield. Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah provided an early breakthrough by dismissing Mushfiqur Rahim in the first session.
Mohammed Siraj picked up the second wicket that fell in Bangladesh's innings on the fourth day. Litton Das managed to score 13 runs off 30 balls before being dismissed by Siraj. However, Rohit Sharma's one-handed catch at mid-off grabbed the attention of cricket experts and fans on social media.

Litton Das attempted to hit a length ball over the infield but didn't get enough elevation. The ball went flat towards Rohit Sharma, who was stationed at mid-off. The Indian skipper leaped to make a stunning grab over his head. He was thrilled by the catch before being quickly surrounded by his teammates.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the video of Rohit Sharma's exceptional fielding efforts on X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, "WHAT. A. CATCH. Captain @ImRo45 with a screamer of a catch as Litton Das is dismissed for 13. @mdsirajofficial picks up his first."

The dismissal of Litton Das placed Bangladesh in a challenging position at 148/5. Shakib Al Hasan joined Mominul Haque at the crease. The pair managed to add 22 runs before Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Shakib. They lost their six wickets for 170 runs on the board in the first innings.
Team India Unlikely To Secure Victory In Second Test In Kanpur
India's chances of winning the Test are minimal despite the expectation of 98 overs to be bowled on Days 4 and 5. Following a defeat in the first Test against England in Hyderabad earlier this year, India bounced back to win four matches in a row and registered a 280-run win in the first Test against Bangladesh.
If Bangladesh manages to avoid defeat, it would be their first draw in five Test matches played in India, having lost the previous four encounters. Overall, they have struggled against India, winning only two of their 14 Test meetings, with the other two matches ending in draws in 2007 and 2015.
