Rohit Sharma Voodoo

Rohit Sharma, on Sunday (September 22), added yet another win to his tally as India captain after leading the team to a thumping victory over Bangladesh in the recently concluded Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Barring the first two sessions of day one, India were very much on top during the Test match. In the end, the Rohit Sharma-led side completely outplayed Bangladesh and won the game by 280 runs. The win has also helped India take an unassailable lead in the two-match series,

The hosts were reeling at 34/3 and then 144/6 in the first innings but recovered to post 376 runs thanks to fighting knocks from Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. The duo shared a brilliant 199-run stand for the seventh wicket. Ashwin scored 113 runs while Jadeja scored 86 runs.

In reply, Bangladesh could score only 149 runs as their batsmen failed to impress. Jasprit Bumrah was impressed with the ball for India, taking 4 wickets while Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets apiece.

Bangladesh started well with the ball in the second innings too and had reduced India to 67 for 3. However, Team India once again recovered thanks to centuries from Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill. Gill scored an unbeaten 119 while Pant scored 109 runs as India declared their second innings on 287/4.

Set a target of 515 runs, Bangladesh were bowled out for just 234 runs. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto waged a lone battle, scoring 82 but found little support from the other end. For India, Ashwin starred with the ball, taking six wickets while Jadeja claimed three wickets.

Rohit Sharma swaps bails:

While Rohit Sharma could not do much with the bat in the game, he looked in good spirits throughout the game. The veteran batsman was heard making several hilarious comments throughout the game. And now another video has gone viral in which the India captain was seen doing a peculiar act.

He was first seen swapping the bails before doing an action that resembled chanting a mantra. A few months ago, Virat Kohli had also done the same during India's tour of South Africa. He had swapped the bails during the first Test and it paid off immediately as India got a wicket in the same over.
