India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma along with Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and others, has arrived in Kanpur ahead of the second Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The last game of the series will take place at Green Park on the 27th of September.

The Test series between India and Bangladesh kick-started on 19th September at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Notably, the hosts finished the game on Day 4 and then enjoyed time off before assembling again on Tuesday (24th September) in Kanpur.

The ongoing Test match against Bangladesh will be a massive opportunity for Rohit Sharma and his team to rectify all their bases going into the important Test series ahead. Although they won the first game, there were a few issues that needed to be solved.

The form of some of the players will be important going ahead, and with Kanpur's surface expected to be good for batting, it will be a great opportunity for batters to find their rhythm. Skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, in particular, would want to get some runs under their belt.

Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli didn't have a great outing with the bat in the first Test. The premier batters failed in both innings and would be keen to make an impact in the second Test. Their form would be crucial for the team going ahead into Test season.

Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli arrived in Kanpur three days ahead of the second game. While, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and assistant coach Abhishek Nayar came together, Kohli was seen arriving with Rishabh Pant and Gautam Gambhir.

Some reports claimed that the second Test between India and Bangladesh would be played on black soil, and the surface would offer very little bounce and carry and is also unlikely to be a rank turner. It is expected to be flatter, with the bounce lower and the surface becoming increasingly slower as the Test grows old

The reports also added that India is likely to make a change in their XI due to the nature of the pitch. They are likely to play three spinners and there are chances that India might bring in one of Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel into the team. It is expected that Akash Deep might miss the game.

India National Cricket Team won the first Test of the series by a massive margin of 280 runs. There were quite a few players who performed for the team with Ravichandran Ashwin being the main one. He slammed a ton and picked 6 wickets as well for the team.

Shubman Gill (119*) and Rishabh Pant (109) also hit centuries that helped India set a massive target of 515 runs. They would be keen to carry on the same form and help the team win and complete the whitewash.
