Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ruturaj Gaikwad’s fiancée, Utkarsha Pawar won many hearts with her gesture following the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 final match. Utkarsha Pawar took the blessings of Mahendra Singh Dhoni by touching the CSK skipper’s feet after the title win.

The Chennai-based franchise won their fifth title by beating the defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) by five wickets in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 29. The CSK became the most successful franchise in the IPL, equaling the Mumbai Indians (MI) record of five titles.

Ruturaj Gaikwad brought his girlfriend to the stadium for the final match in Ahmedabad. Gaikwad and Utkarsha came to meet MS Dhoni while everyone was standing. The CSK skipper acknowledged their presence and hugged her. Later, she surprised Dhoni by touching his feet, and the CSK skipper was quick to react to the gesture.

Ruturaj Gaikwad is getting married to Utkarsha Pawar on June 3. Utkarsha represented Maharashtra in the domestic circuit and played her last match in November 2021. She is currently pursuing her education at the Institute of Nutrition and Fitness Sciences (INFS), Pune.

The CSK opener was included in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 final match as one of the reserve players. Ruturaj was replaced by young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for the one-off Test match against Australia, which is played at the Oval between June 7 and 11.

The 26-year-old enjoyed success with the bat in the recently concluded IPL 2023. The right-handed batter scored 590 runs in 16 matches with an impressive average of 42.14 and a strike rate of 147.50. He was in seventh place among the leading run-getters in the mega tournament.
