India is playing against Pakistan in the Super-4 stage, and unlike the previous game, the Men in Green have made a great start to their campaign. India, too, has been feeling the heat this time around, as they have missed a pile of catches, which facilitated the Pakistan batters.
Pakistan will set their eye on winning this match, not only to mark a promising start to the Super-4 stage but also to avenge their defeat against India earlier in the tournament.

The Pakistan opener has performed well for Pakistan against India, as he was also their highest scorer the last time these two teams met. However, this time around, he has been favoured by his fortune. Having been dropped twice in the first over and then after the power play, Farhan capitalized on the multiple lifelines.
After completing his fifty in style, Farhan was seen pointing his bat, posing like a rocket launcher towards the crowd. He seemed to have made a mockery of the warlike situation that India was protesting against since the last game.

When Sahibzada Farhan anchored the Pakistan innings with his stunning fifty, India needed a rescue man to undo the wrongs of Abhishek Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav, the fielders who dropped him earlier in the game.
Jasprit Bumrah went for runs, while Sahibzada Farhan was playing spin comfortably, as a result of which Suryakumar Yadav opted to switch to his 6th bowling option in the form of Shivam Dube. The all-rounder came in to deliver extraordinarily.
He first dismissed Saim Ayub in his first over and then went on to pick the wicket of Sahibzada Farhan, the set batter, in the final over of his spell. Farhan too top-edged a delivery, which was this time caught safely by skipper Suryakumar Yadav.
Indian spinners squeeze the run-rate as Pakistan struggle for runs
Pakistan's batters might have started very well against the Indian pacers, but as soon as the spinners came into the attack, the scoring rate kept chugging throughout their spell. Varun Chakravarthy, the current no. 1 spinner in the ICC rankings, couldn't pick a wicket, yet was very economical as he bowled his four overs, giving away just 25 runs.
On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav, the highest wicket getter for India in the Asia Cup 2025, kept challenging the batters with his wrist spin. Alongside the spinners, Shivam Dube also choked the run rate while providing crucial breakthroughs.
