India wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson is having a torrid time in the ongoing second T20I against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. The final game of the three-match series between the teams is underway at the Pallekele International Stadium in Pallekele.
Things are turning from bad to worse for Sanju Samson in the ongoing T20I against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. Nothing is going right for the keeper-batter as after failing to get going with the bat, he is having a horrible time on the field with the gloves behind the stumps.
Sanju Samson, who is the wicket-keeper for India in the ongoing, dropped a dolly to give a reprieve to Sri Lanka opener Kusal Mendis. During the 5th ball of the 5th over, Mohammed Siraj bowled a length delivery on off-stump. Kusal Mendis was rooted to his crease as the ball nipped away just a touch and caught a healthy edge.
It seemed that Sanju Samson behind the stumps would take an easy catch. But the keeper-batter initially went the wrong way. He had to correct himself and dive to the right. He didn't go in cleanly and spilled it, and the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team batter got a lifeline.

After that, skipper Suryakumar Yadav went immediately to Sanju Samson to console him but that didn't work too as the keeper-batter went on to drop another catch. In the next over, he dropped another catch of Kusal Mendis to give him another reprieve.
On the second ball of the 9th over, Ravi Bishnoi bowled a flatter googly that was pushed down leg. Kusal Mendis got down low as he attempted a pull. The ball took his glove and just dropped below Sanju Samson's gloves as tit went quick.
Sanju Samson also didn't have a great outing with the bat. The keeper-batter bagged a four-ball duck while batting at No.3. The Rajasthan Royals skipper didn't look in great touch even in the last game as he bagged a golden duck and faced a lot of criticism for not performing on the international stage.
