India National Cricket Team player Tilak Varma had a dream tour to South Africa in what was a four-match T20I series between the teams. The left-hander helped his team dominate the Proteas Team in their backyard and win the series by the margin of 3-1.

Tilak Varma, who asked for the No.3 position in the team, repaid the faith of management as he came up with the rollicking effort with the bat. After playing a decent hand in the first two games, he took his game to the next level and came up with a superlative effort.

Tilak Varma slammed brutal centuries in the last two T20Is

Varma slammed a brutal century in the third T20I against the South Africa National Cricket Team and helped his team win the game by a massive margin. He ended with an innings of unbeaten 107 runs off 56 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 191 and also hit 8 fours and 7 sixes during his knock.

If this was not enough, Varma then came up with another similar effort in the fourth game. The left-hander came up with another sensational ton and became only the second Indian batter to hit back-to-back tons in the history of T20I cricket.

Varma hit his second T20I ton and achieved the feat in 41 balls. This was their fastest century for India in the shortest format of the game. He ended with an innings of an unbeaten 120 off 47 balls and also hit 9 fours and 10 sixes in his innings, batting with a strike rate of over 256.

While his batting was one for everyone to cherish, Varma also was awarded the Player of the Fielder for his exceptional fielding throughout the series. He was electric around the ground in all four games and took some brilliant catches in the series.

Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson, and Suryakumar Yadav were three candidates for the award

The fielding medal was awarded by fielding coach Subhadeep Ghosh. For the impact fielder, it was leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi who sealed the award while there were three nominees for the fielding award for the whole series.

Varma, Sanju Samson, and Suryakumar Yadav were three candidates for the award. The fielding coach asked Suryakumar Yadav to open the chit beside him and announce the winner. It seemed that it was Sanju Samson who won the award for the way the skipper treated him

Suryakumar Yadav went to Samson and shook his hands and then announced Varma as the winner. His gesture left everyone in the dressing room laughing. It was coach VVS Laxman then who presented the medal to Tilak Varma.
