In a dramatic turn of events, Team India support staff member Nuwan Seneviratne was struck on the head by a cricket ball during a training session. The incident occurred as the India national cricket team was preparing at the Gabba ahead of Day 2 of the third Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25.

'Players rushed to check he's OK. Medical staff are now with him. After five or so minutes he got to his feet with an ice pack on his right cheek/jaw. Scary stuff.'
