Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza was caught having some hilarious banter with Pakistan captain and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan on the stump during the first ODI of the ongoing three-match ODI series.

As Mohammad Rizwan came to bat on the crease, Sikandar Raza teased the Pakistanis by saying, “Welcome to Multan.” However, the funny banter didn’t stop there, as the Zimbabwe all-rounder also dragged the former Australian batter David Warner into the picture.

Sikandar Raza told Mohammad Rizwan: “David Warner ki achhi phadi apne. (You gave David Warner a good thrashing)”. To which the Pakistan captain said, “I like him.”

Actually, during the second ODI match between Pakistan and Australia at the Adelaide Oval, Rizwan was fooled into taking DRS after Adam Zampa top-edged the ball. Well, Rizwan lost the review, and David Warner was one of the commentators who laughed at the incident.

Later, Pakistan stunned the Australians by winning the three-match ODI series with a 2-1 margin. However, the Men in Green were whitewashed in the T20I series. Now, the clip of hilarious banter between Mohammad Rizwan and Sikandar Raza is going viral on social media.

Notably, Zimbabwe had won the first ODI by 80 runs via the DLS method against Pakistan, and Rizwan played a slow innings of an unbeaten 19 runs off 43 balls at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. However, Pakistan made a stunning comeback in the second ODI against Zimbabwe.

After restricting Zimbabwe to a paltry 145 runs inside 33 overs, thanks to Abrar Ahmed’s four-wicket haul and Salman Ali Agha’s three-wicket haul, Pakistan batters chased down the target in 18.2 overs, as the tourists recorded a historic win to level the ODI series 1-1 in Bulawayo.

Pakistan openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique were enough to take the side over the line with extreme ease as the tourists won the second ODI by ten wickets against Zimbabwe. While Saim Ayub played a stunning knock of unbeaten 113 runs off 62 balls, Abdullah Shafique made 32* off 48 balls.

Our aim is to stay focused on what lies ahead: Mohammad Rizwan

Now, the ODI series decider will be played at the same venue—Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo—on Thursday, November 28. After leveling the ODI series against New Zealand, Mohammad Rizwan slammed the critics by stressing the importance of focusing on the future rather than dwelling on past failures.

The captain said at the post-match press conference: “The past is behind us. Even this moment as I speak is already part of the past. Our aim is to stay focused on what lies ahead. Saim is a very talented and exceptional player. Unfortunately, he was injured in the last couple of years, but what he did today is just 70% of his talent. We expect him to perform 100% in the future.”

Notably, it was Pakistan’s first-ever ten-wicket win in the ODI match after 13 years. They won an ODI match by 10 wickets back in 2011; since then they could not achieve such a big win.
