Will Give A Lot Of Confidence - Sam Billings

Oval Invincibles captain Sam Billings stated that the victory boosted confidence after facing struggles in the last two matches. Billings noted that Sam Curran played brilliantly and targeted the shorter side, especially against Akeal Hosein.

"Jordan Cox needed a bit of form coming back from injury. He’ll take a lot of confidence scoring against some high quality bowlers.

(On Sam Curran) He’s playing with great clarity at the moment. He’s playing brilliantly with that short side, we wanted to keep the left hand, right hand combination. We knew they would have to bowl Akeal Hosein at some point, and we were ready for it.

Huge plus to see these quality performances again. They are a quality bowling side, so this performance will be key for us. These last two games where we didn't have everything go our way but we managed to get over the line will give us a lot of confidence."
