Suryakumar Yadav Hits Nitish Reddy

India National Cricket Team batter Nitish Reddy played a stellar innings with the bat in the ongoing second T20I against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday (9th October).

Nitish Reddy, who came to bat at No.4, made sure that he repaid the faith of the management as he played the magical innings with the bat. The all-rounder produced a brutal effort with the bat as he played some gorgeous shots during his innings.

However, he was also at the receiving end of the major blow. During the last ball of the 4th over, Taskin Ahmed bowled a 142.4kph ball to Suryakumar Yadav that was pitched up. The India National Cricket Team skipper drove hard straight as he timed the ball to perfection.

Nitish Reddy, who was at the non-striker's end, couldn't get out of the way. He failed to duck under it and got hit on the right shoulder.

Nitish Reddy helps India post 221 runs

After Suryakumar Yadav got out, Nitish Reddy (74) played a breathtaking knock and slammed his maiden half-century in his second game for the India National Cricket Team. He bailed the team out of trouble and brought them back into the game.

Rinku Singh (53) supported him well as the duo added 108 runs partnership for the fourth wicket. In the end, Hardik Pandya (32) played another blinder and made sure that he helped his team get a total of over 200 runs. Riyan Parag (15) also made a valiant effort as India ended with a total of 221 for nine.

In the chase, Bangladesh couldn’t get going at all with the bat. Batters had starts but they failed to convert as Indian bowlers were all over them. Mahmudullah (41) was the lone warrior for his team as he kept his team in the hunt and played a decent hand but couldn’t take his team home.

For India, Varun Chakravarthy and Nitish Reddy picked two wickets each as Suryakumar Yadav used 7 bowlers. All of them were amongst the wickets as the Men in Blue restricted opponents to 135 for nine to win the game by 86 runs and take an unassailable lead of 2-0.

India winning the game by 86 runs is the biggest margin of win by runs for India against Bangladesh in a T20I. They bettered the 50-run win in North Sound in the recent T20 World Cup. They were too good for the opposition with both bat and ball.
