We need to take responsibility and take it till the end - Abhishek Sharma
Speaking during the mid-innings break, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Abhishek Sharma, who played a quickfire innings, said that the pitch on offer is a good one to bat on. Abhishek added that he and Travis Head were hoping to post a total of around 230-240. He stated:
"I think when we (Head and himself) played the first over, we thought we got one of the best pitches this year. Somewhere we have to look out for our small mistakes. We need to take responsibility and take it till the end. Head and I we were looking forward to scoring a total of 230-240 only."
Abhishek Sharma also showered rich praise on Ishan Kishan for his terrific innings of unbeaten 94 runs that helped the Sunrisers Hyderabad post a colossal total of 231/6 on the board. He said:
"We had a plan and we were going to go after it (throughout the innings). The score is good. I think it was pending from his (Kishan's) side. He was talking about this. This score is because of Kishan only, the way he played was tremendous. Let's see what Pat Cummins thinks today (whether Abhishek is required to bowl)."
