Team India have started their campaign in the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 in a strong fashion. The Men in Blue have booked their place in the Super 8s of the tournament after an unbeaten run in the group stage.

The Rohit Sharma-led side began its campaign in the ninth edition of the tournament with an eight-wicket win over Ireland. After the bowlers restricted Ireland to a modest total of 96 runs, the batters chased it down with ease. It was followed by a thrilling 6-run win over arch-rivals Pakistan.

Asked to bat first, India could score only a modest total of 119 runs on a tough pitch in New York. However, the bowlers came up with another superb display to restrict Pakistan to 113 and powered the team to a famous win. In the third game, India beat the high-flying USA to book their place in the playoffs before their final group game against Canada was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to a wet outfield.
