Watch- Virat Kohli and Sanath Jayasuriya quarrel
Star India batter Virat Kohli was seen having an intense conversation with Sri Lanka's interim head coach Sanath Jayasuriya after the second ODI between India and Sri Lanka. The match was played at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on August 4.
During the 15th over of the second innings of the match, Virat Kohli was hit on the pad by an off-spinning delivery from Akila Dananjaya. The umpire raised his finger but Kohli reviewed the decision. The ultra edge showed a clear spike when the ball was next to Kohli's inside edge and the third umpire reversed the on-field decision.
The Sri Lankan players were distraught at the decision and could not believe what just happened. It was a close call and the Sri Lankan camp, including Sanath Jayasuriya, was not happy with the third umpire's decision. Sri Lanka wicketkeeper Kusal Mendis threw his helmet on the ground in frustration. But Kohli survived in the end.
After the match during the post-match handshakes, Jayasuriya stopped Kohli in between and had an intense chat with him. Both the legends had a short chat before shaking their hands and moving ahead. Although it wasn't clear what they were talking about, their chat looked friendly.

Kohli could not survive for long and could add only three more runs to his tally. He was dismissed on 14 off 19 balls in the 20th over of the match by legspinner Jeffrey Vandersay, who had a day to remember.
Meanwhile, India suffered a second shock in as many games, and this time, Sri Lanka were able to cross the line. Chasing a target of 241 was always going to be challenging for the Indian batters on the spin-friendly track and it proved to be exactly like that.
India stumbles after brilliant opening stand
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill collected 97 runs for the first wicket in 13.3 overs but the fall of Rohit Sharma to an attempted reverse sweep opened the floodgates for the home team.
Gill was dismissed off a brilliant one-hand-take by Kamindu Mendis at first slip and it started India's slide. The Men in Blue lost 5 wickets for 31 runs as the experienced middle order crumbled badly against Jeffrey Vandersay's brilliant leg spin bowling.
Axar Patel tried his best to resurrect the innings but Sri Lankan skipper Charith Asalanka took a brilliant return catch to dismiss him and land a huge blow to India's chances. Allrounder Washington Sundar tried to stay with the tail but he couldn't survive a brilliant Sri Lankan bowling effort.
In the end, India were bowled out for 208 in 42.2 overs, thus conceding the match by 32 runs. The first match of the series ended in a tie, which means Sri Lanka are now 1-0 ahead in the series. With one more match to go, India will be looking to bounce back and end the series on a high.
