India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli didn't have a great game against New Zealand National Cricket Team in the second Test of the series. The match took place at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
Virat Kohli's struggle in Test cricket continued as he failed in both innings of the second match against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. Coming to the game, it was expected that he would be the main man for the team in the match, especially with the kind of record he has at Pune.
After managing just 1 run in the first innings, it was almost certain that Virat Kohli would step up for his team. The right-hander looked solid and started well, giving glimpses of his old self, defending the ball pretty solid, and hitting boundaries with complete control.
With the way Virat Kohli started, it seemed that he would do something special that would take his team home. But that wasn't the case as he yet again perished to Mitchell Santner, who removed him in the first innings as well without letting him get settled.
Kohli tried to tuck the length ball that skidded on after pitching off the backfoot. But got stuck in front of the leg. The umpire immediately raised his finger, but the batter opted to review, and it was the umpire's call on the wickets hitting.
Virat was left fuming at the umpire. However, his anger didn't stop there as after that, he was absolutely angry, and it was even visible when he walked up the pavilion. The batter was seen hitting the ice box in frustration with his bat.

Ravichandran Ashwin (18) and Ravindra Jadeja (42) joined hands and tried to bail the team out of trouble, adding 39 runs. But after the wicket of Ashwin, it was only a matter of time for New Zealand to wrap up the game with Santner all over the opposition.
