India batting stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had a brilliant reaction after spotting a reimagined poster of the famous Bollywood film 'Lagaan'.

Both the veteran batters are currently in Sri Lanka with the rest of the Indian team for the ongoing three-match ODI series. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma made their much-awaited return to the 50-over format after a gap of almost 10 months. Before the ongoing series, their last appearance in ODIs had come in November last year when they played in the ODI World Cup final against Australia.

Coming to the incident, it took place during the ongoing ODI series. The senior batters spotted the posters just before entering the ground for the match. Virat Kohli along with a few other Indian players were standing near the advertisement hoarding as they waited for the captain and the other players to join them.

While waiting, Virat Kohli spotted the poster in the stands and made sure to show it to Rohit as well. As soon as Rohit walked out, Kohli was seen pointing out the poster to his teammate. Kohli was struggling to control his laughter and Rohit was laughing too after seeing the poster in which lead actor Aamir Khan's face was replaced by the India captain's face.

Talking about the ongoing ODI series, India will be looking to bounce back and win the upcoming third ODI against Sri Lanka to avoid a series defeat. The hosts are currently leading the three-match series 1-0 after winning the second ODI. The first game had ended in a tie after both the teams finished their innings on 240.

In the second game, Sri Lanka scored 240 for 9 before bowling out India for 208 to register a much-needed victory. In both games, Rohit scored quickfire centuries but other batters including Kohli failed to perform. Rohit scored a 33-ball fifty in the first game before smashing a 29-ball fifty in the second. The captain will be looking to continue his fine form and guide the team to a win in the third ODI.

Earlier on the tour, India had whitewashed Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav.
