It is not every day that the legendary MS Dhoni gets a DRS call wrong. Such is his reputation for accuracy while opting for DRS calls that the fans fondly call it the 'Dhoni Review System'.

However, MS Dhoni made a rare misjudgment with a DRS call on Thursday (March 28) when Chennai Super Kings locked horns against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Virat Kohli's reaction said it all.

It happened during the third over of the match when left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed was bowling to Kohli Kohli. On the very first ball of the over, Khaleel's delivery hit Kohli on the pads and the pacer was so confident that he did not even appeal and started celebrating.

He even ran past Kohli celebrating but the umpire did not buckle under the pressure and adjudged it not out. However, Khaleel was so confident that he asked MS Dhoni and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad to review the umpire's decision.

He had a brief chat with MS Dhoni before the latter asked Gaikwad to go for the review. The replays, however, showed that the ball had pitched outside leg and Kohli survived. And as the giant screen showed the replay, Kohli could not help but smile over the DRS call.

Talking about the game, RCB are on course to post a big total in the ongoing game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. At the time of writing this report, they were on 109/2 after 11 overs with a well-set Kohli and captain Rajat Patidar in the middle.

After scoring 16 runs off the first 22 balls he faced, Kohli finally broke the shackles in the 11th over by hitting Matheesha Pathirana for a four and a six. Earlier in the game, Phil Salt gave RCB a flying start by smashing 32 runs off just 16 balls with the help of five fours and a six. Devdutt Padikkal also played a quick cameo of 27 runs from just 14 balls.
