Australian players quickly rushed to check on the security guard’s condition with the star spinner Nathan Lyon leading the way, while the team physio hurried to perform concussion tests. Thankfully, the security guard looked fine, giving some relief to players and fans as well.
Virat Kohli looks in great form in the Perth Test
However, the atmosphere remained tense as everyone awaited confirmation of his well-being from the physio. Coming back to the jaw-dropping shot, Virat Kohli’s execution was nothing short of remarkable. The dashing right-hander is known for his classic drives and calculated aggression, but this time he decided to showcase his adaptability and finesse by playing a rare uppercut. The timing was just perfect, sending the ball all the way for six off Mitchell Starc.
Meanwhile, Kohli is looking good and confident, and it is a good sign for the Indian cricket team after his series of poor Test scores, as they have a challenging task on hand ahead. The former Indian skipper is just 10 runs away from his fifty as the tourists took over a 400-run lead against Australia in the ongoing five-match Test series opener in Perth.
However, the Australian team got some quick wickets before the tea break, Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel cheaply, but still the game is in the Indian cricket team’s control at the Optus Stadium. Interestingly, the pitch has started to play tricks with the cracks, and spin can come into the picture, and if it happens, then things can be challenging for India, having gone with an all-pace attack.
