IPL 2021: Watch - Virat Kohli Hits A Remarkable No-Look Shot Off Shardul Thakur

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli looked in his usual elements as he pulled off an astounding no-look shot off Shardul Thakur during Match 35 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
CSK won the toss and asked the Bangalore boys to bat first. The track looks pretty good for batting and the RCB openers, Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal, cashed in early on. Both of them found the middle of the bat early on and punished any freebies on offer.

The first over of the match bowled by Deepak Chahar yielded thirteen runs. They carried on the momentum from there with only Josh Hazlewood managing to trouble the batsmen. There were a couple of loose shots from Kohli but he has looked in control otherwise.
The best shot of the match came in the fifth over of the powerplay. Thakur dished out a length delivery in the slot and Kohli’s eyes lit up. He planted his front foot across and unleashed a brutal no-look shot to dismiss the ball out of the ground.

It signaled his intentions in the match. He has looked as though the weight on his shoulders has eased a bit and is looking like the Kohli of olden days. The RCB side had moved on to 90/0 in the first ten overs. Padikkal looked well set on 43 off 30 balls while Kohli was on 44 off 30.
This is also the highest opening partnership for RCB against CSK in the IPL history. They have perennially struggled against Dhoni’s men, with a skewed head-to-head record in CSK’s favor. Tonight’s match is also important for RCB as they need to arrest their losing slide in the UAE. They have lost their last six matches in the Arab country, starting from IPL 2020.
