India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli has achieved a massive feat in ODI cricket. The former captain of the team now has the joint-highest number of catches as a fielder as he joined Mohammad Azharuddin, who ended his career with 156 catches.
Virat Kohli achieved the feat during the ongoing second match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 between the India National Cricket Team and the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The match is underway at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Thursday (20th February).
Virat Kohli joined Mohammad Azharuddin with 156 catches after he took a brilliant catch to remove Jaker Ali off the bowling of Mohammed Shami. The batter hit the ball high in the air and Kohli, near the boundary ropes, had his eye set on it and settled under it nicely to pouch it clean.

Coming to the game, India ended Bangladesh's innings on 228 runs. Mohammed Shami was the star with the ball as he picked fifer. Harshit Rana chipped in with three wickets while Axar Patel bagged two as well.
