Suresh Raina is a well-known Indian cricketer and it is not wrong to say that once, he was the right-hand of MS Dhoni. He has tasted as much success as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, although, his career ended with the retirement of MS Dhoni in 2019.

Recently, Sureha Raina had a chat with popular TV presenter and anchor Shefali Bagga. During the chat with the lady, Raina revealed who is his GOAT of all time and the name won't surprise you much.

The video is from the ongoing World Championship of Legends 2024, a franchise T20 league for retired cricketers in the United Kingdom. Notably, Suresh Raina also named a lot of his favourites to Shefali Bagga during the chat.

He answered a bunch of questions to the female anchor including his favourite death-over specialist and funniest cricketer friend. He also named his most consistent player and run machine.

WATCH- Suresh Raina reveals his GOAT and it's none other than MS Dhoni

During the video, when Shefali Bagga asked Suresh Raina about his GOAT of all time, the former left-handed batsman named none other than MS Dhoni. However, he also termed Virat Kohli as the run-machine and Jasprit Bumrah as his favourite death-over specialist. Have a look at the video below.

Notably, like MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina was part of Chennai Super Kings since his retirement from IPL. The left-handed batter became a member of CSK in the first 2008 edition and was part of the side till the 2021 season. He was not picked in the 2022 mega auction by Chennai Super Kings or any other franchise.

However, Raina did not stop his association with cricket and he was invited to play the role of a commentator. He has executed the role of commentator for the last few seasons and is among the favourites for fans.

Virat Kohli overtook Raina as to run-getter

Interestingly, Raina was the highest run-getter in IPL till the time he was part of the tournament. After his ouster, Shikhar Dhawan took the peak spot for a brief period and was eventually taken over by Virat Kohli, who has amassed more than 6000 runs in the tournament.

Even in IPL 2024, Kohli finished as the highest run-getter and helped his team to reach playoffs. Losing 7 out of 8 games at the start, Royal Challengers Bengaluru made a stunning effort to reach the playoffs but could not reach the final. However, their journey was like an angry lion on a hunt in a forest.

MS Dhoni left CSK captaincy in IPL 2024

MS Dhoni left the CSK captaincy in IPL 2024 and handed it over to Ruturaj Gaikwad, who led the side. However, Dhoni helped him with his skipper duties.

Notably, Dhoni showed a wonderful batting form in the season and did not make any comments if he would retire after the tournament. Hence, Captain Cool and former India Skipper might be back in IPL 2025 next year.

Meanwhile, Shefali Bagga, the anchor who interviewed Suresh Raina in the above video was part of Bigg Boss and is among the most-followed anchors in sports. She has been quite active in various T20 franchise leagues and has a lot of fans.
