Former cricketers Michael Vaughan, Simon Doull, Rohan Gavaskar, and Manoj Tiwary named the best batter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 with Virat Kohli and Travis Head dominating the picks. It was an even-steven fight between the two as they were exceptional in the tournament.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli was at his exceptional best in the tournament. Ahead of the IPL 2024, there were lots of talks about his place as the T20 batter in the India team. However, he replied to all the critics in style with his magnificent batting in the league. 

Batting at the top, Virat Kohli set the stage on fire in the IPL 2024. Royal Challengers Bengaluru struggled to get going in the first half of the tournament and it was Kohli, who was still pushing the team and giving his best for the side. 

There were many doubters of his strike rate but he brought his best version this time around and showed glimpses of old Virat Kohli, playing sweeps, slog sweeps, and whatnot. No one gave RCB  a chance to qualify for the playoffs after they had just one win in 8 games. 

However, after that RCB made a dazzling comeback and won 6 games on the bounce to reach the playoffs. One of the main architects behind that was Virat Kohli. He oozed his class and scored consistently for the team, making sure they did something special. 

Virat Kohli ended the tournament as the leading scorer with 741 runs to his name in 15 innings at an average of 61.75. He also scored one hundred and five fifties in the tournament at a strike rate of over 154.

On the other hand, Travis Head completely changed the dynamics of batting and showed everyone how the batting in T20 should be done. He revolutionized the batting and took bowlers to the cleaners, making everyone go gaga about his batting. 

Travis Head, who has been going through the purple patch, made sure that he brings the same mindset to the IPL. The Australia batter was at his brutal best and destroyed the bowlers in the league, making sure he took his team to a dominating position. 

It was because of the heroics of the Travis Head that Sunrisers Hyderabad posted gigantic totals on the board. In the 15 innings, he scored 567 runs at a strike rate of over 191 and an average of 40. He also slammed 4 half-centuries and 1 ton.

During a session on Cricbuzz, experts picked the best batter of the IPL 2024. Michael Vaughan backed Sunrises Hyderabad batter as he believes Travis Head was sensational. 

Manoj Tiwary was in awe of the consistency of Virat Kohli and stated that he took his team to playoffs. Rohan Gavaskar picked Travis Head and said hat IPL 2024 will be remembered for the way Sunrisers Hyderabad batter played in the league. 

Simon Doull picked Virat Kohli, stating that his strike rate was exceptional, and mentioned that his six-hitting ability was magnificent in the IPL 2024. He also stressed how amazingly he batted.
