Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq shared a hilarious story when Shoaib Malik was abused by fans without any reason during the ICC World Cup 2019. Pakistan faced a huge loss against West Indies in an encounter.
It was Pakistan’s opening game in the tournament. Pakistan batted first in the match and were all-out for just 105. Witnessing their poor show, Pakistani fans abused them inside the stadium. However, even though Shoaib Malik was not part of the match, he was abused by fans.

During a recent chat show, Imam-ul-Haq revealed the funny story of how Shoaib Malik was abused even after he was not part of the match against West Indies. Malik was not part of the playing XI in the match.
He did the net practice ahead of the match. Later, the former all-rounder went out of the field as the match was about to start. He returned to the field after some 40-45 minutes. However, there was no play on the field.
As Shoaib Malik was surprised to witness why the match didn’t start, he enquired with the match referees. They told him that the Pakistan team had been bowled out. Later, he revealed to his teammates that when he was returning from the field, Pakistan fans abused him and he was surprised why he was facing the wrath of the fans. Have a look at the video below.

ICC World Cup 2019 took place in England. Against West Indies, Pakistan was all-out for just 105 in 21.4 overs. Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam scored the most 22 runs for the team as 7 batsmen lost their wickets for single-digits. Opener Imam-ul-Haq scored 2 runs in the match.
Oshane Thomas (4 wickets) and Jason Holder (3 wickets) led an incredible pace attack for West Indies in the match. Later, Chris Gayle (50) and Nicholas Pooran (34) ensured a convincing 7-wicket victory for West Indies inside 13.4 overs.
