Meanwhile, the Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Thunder have both won two out of their three games so far in the ongoing Big Bash League 2024-25 and with both in great form, the ongoing encounter has everyone excited.

The BBL 2024-25 clash began with the Renegades winning the toss and opting to bowl first against the Thunders. Cameron Bancroft was the first to get out, scoring just eight runs. Sherfane Rutherford (11), Oliver Davies (10), and Sam Billings (10) also fell cheaply against the Renegades.

David Warner stole the show in the Sydney Thunder vs Melbourne Renegades Match

However, the standout performer for the Thunder has been their captain, David Warner, who has been in brilliant form this season. David Warner smashed an unbeaten knock of 86 runs off 56 balls with the help of 10 boundaries and two maximums against the Renegades in Sydney.

Warner also added an unbeaten 69 runs off 40 balls with the number five batter, Matthew Gilkes, who made an unbeaten 23 runs off 21 balls and one boundary, to help Sydney Thunder post 156/4 on the board in their 20 overs against Melbourne Renegades in the BBL 2024-25 clash on Monday.

Tom Rogers, Kane Richardson, Will Sutherland, and Adam Zampa have all managed one piece for the Thunders. Chasing the target, the Renegades had a great start, but the opener Josh Brown's (22) wicket triggered a mini-batting collapse as Tim Seifert (9) and Jacob Bethell (2) fell cheaply to Wes Agar and Daniel Sams, respectively.

Currently, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Laurie Evans are trying to stabilize the Renegades’ innings, as they need 89 runs in 55 balls with six wickets in hand to win the ongoing BBL 2024-25 clash against the Thunders at the Sydney Showground Stadium.
