Yashasvi Jaisal scored 12 off five balls in the fifth and final T20I against Zimbabwe. He fell in the very first over but not before cracking a record. India won the final match by 42 runs Zimbabwe were bowled out for 125 chasing 168 to win. India completed a 4-1 series win.

Jaiswal scored six off the very first ball from Sikandar Raza which was a no-ball. He hit him for a six off the no-ball as well and in the process, he became the first Indian and second batter overall in the world after Ivan Selemani to hit two sixes on the first two balls of a T20I match. He also became the first player to score 12 runs off the first legal delivery in men's T20I history as India were at 13/0 after the first ball.

He was eventually dismissed by Raza in the same over of the match. However, his dismissal did not deter the Indian batters as they scored 167 in 20 overs batting first.

Sanju Samson scored his second T20I fifty as he scored 58 off 45 balls with four sixes. Contributions from Riyan Parag (22) and Shivam Dube (26) helped India get to that score. India hit as many as 11 sixes during their innings as opposed to just three from Zimbabwe. Eventually that made the difference as India won the match by 42 runs, which is a matter of seven sixes.

It was another comprehensive win from the Indian team with their bowlers rising to the occasion. After the clinical performance with the bat, Mukesh Kumar took four wickets with the ball to derail the Zimbabwe chase. Tushar Deshpande, Abhishek Sharma, and Washington Sundar took one each with Shivam Dube taking two.

It was Shubman Gill's first T20I series win as India captain. He was a happy captain after the end of the game as he lauded his teammates for their efforts across the five-match series.

Sikandar Raza, on the other hand, was a disappointed captain. In his post-match interaction, he spoke about a shoulder injury that he is struggling with currently. He further spoke about his workload and his need to play four-day cricket to get back to full fitness.

India next play a white-ball series against Sri Lanka starting later this month. That will be the first assignment for India's new head coach Gautam Gambhir.
