Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal is not only known for scoring loads of runs but is also a terrific fielder. In his short international career so far, he has already made some outstanding catches.

During the first Test between India and New Zealand at Bengaluru, Yashasvi Jaiswal once again showed his excellent reflexes to take a sharp catch for the dismissal of Daryl Mitchell. It was the 55th over of New Zealand's innings and Mohammed Siraj was on top of his bowling mark.

Siraj had bowled a good over but was unlucky not to find an edge. But in the final ball of the over, the India fast bowler bowled a testing ball outside off stump. Daryl Mitchell could not resist his temptation to go for it and got an outside edge.

The ball went straight to Yashasvi Jaiswal at gully who caught the ball cleanly. It was a sharp catch from the youngster as the ball swerved late in the air but Jaiswal managed to hold on to it through his fingers.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has taken a few sensational catches in his career and this was one of them. He was close to the batters as well which made the catch difficult because of the less reaction time.

It was the result of a disciplined bowling effort from India in the morning of Day 3. Both Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj bowled tight lines and lengths and did not allow the overnight batters to get away.

Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra were lucky not to edge a few balls but the Indian bowlers persisted on bowling tightly. As a result, Siraj was gifted with his first wicket of the innings and India with the first wicket of the day.

India struggle on Day 1

Meanwhile, it is turning out to be one of those few rare Tests for India where they are right on the back foot and can even succumb to an innings defeat. The Day 1 of the Bengaluru Test was washed out duer to rain.

However, the play started on time in Day 2 with Rohit Sharma winning the toss and electing to bat first. But Indian batters suffered their worst nightmare as they could not stand up to New Zealand's seamers.

The Men in Blue were shot out for just 46, which is their record low score at home and the third lowest overall. Only two Indian batters reached the double-figure mark which shows the situation.

New Zealand seamers shine

Rishabh Pant top-scored for India with 20 while Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 13. Five Indian batters were dismissed without scoring a run. Meanwhile, New Zealand seamers made full use of the helpful conditions on offer as they picked up all the 10 wickets.

Matt Henry was the pick of the bowler as he finished with 5-15. Fast bowler William O'Rourke finished with 4-22 while Tim Southee picked up the solitary wicket.
