The IPL 2025 is due to begin in a few days and the teams have already started preparing for it. Legspinner Yuzvendra Chahal is also working hard for the upcoming season where he will represent Punjab Kings.

Although Chahal is giving his best in the nets, he also didn't shy away from having some fun. In a video shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Yuzvendra Chahal was seen making fun of Pakistan's ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan.

During a conversation before going to the nets, Chahal was heard saying, "Yes, it's a two". It is a famous one-liner from Mohammad Rizwan that has become popular. Rizwan has often been heard saying this line while running between the wickets during Pakistan's match.

In the same video, Chahal was at his humorous best as he teased his teammate Shashank Singh by saying “Darr gye kya (Are you afraid)?” The legspinner knocked a few balls in the nets and looked in great mood.

Yuzvendra Chahal's personal life

A lot has been going on in Yuzvendra Chahal's personal life currently, with divorce rumors with his wife Dhanashree Verma gathering the headlines. He was recently seen with RJ Mahvash during the Champions Trophy 2025 final.

The news gathered headlines soon as pictures of Chahal with RJ Mahvash got viral on social media. Dhanashree came up with a cryptic Instagram story later which read, "Blaming women is always in fashion."

A day after Chahal was seen with RJ Mahvash during the India-New Zealand Champions Trophy final, Dhanashree Verma restored all her pictures with him on her Instagram account. She had earlier removed all the pictures amidst the divorce rumors.

Yuzvendra Chahal aiming to revive his career

Chahal will be playing for Punjab Kings this season and will be looking for a redemption in his career. He was signed by the franchise for a massive amount of INR 18 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

He played for Rajasthan Royals from IPL 2022-2024 and emerged as a key player for his team during this tenure. However, he wasn't retained by the franchise ahead of the mega auction. Currently, he is also the highest wicket-taker in the IPL with 205 wickets in 160 matches.

The legspinner isn't a part of India's squad in any of the formats and will be aiming to make his way back into the side by performing in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. The 34-year-old last played an international match on August 13 when he played a T20I against West Indies.

Chahal was a part of India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad that won the title in June last year. However, he didn't get to play any game as the team management preferred the left-arm wristspinner Kuldeep Yadav ahead of him.
