Stand-in Indian skipper Ajinkya Rahane has been the talk of the town in recent times. Team India won the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy under Rahane’s leadership. Cricketers all over the world have praised how Rahane dominated the Australians with his sharp skills.

Ajinkya Rahane is the Indian vice-captain in the Test format. However, as Indian skipper, Virat Kohli returned home for paternal leave after the first Test. Ajinkya Rahane was thus named the Indian skipper for the remaining of the series. He led India in the second Test as the Men in Blue dominated the majority sessions of the game.

Ajinkya Rahane shared a special message for the Indian fans after the win. Team India won the game on Tuesday and Rahane came up with an Instagram story to thank the fans. He shared an Instagram story in which he wrote, “I would like to express my gratitude for all the love and support we’ve received.”


“The biggest reward for us as a team has been the ability to bring a smile on the faces of all those Indians that follow the sport. We continue to seek your support and good wishes as we work hard for the next two matches,” Rahane added.

Rahane Led The Team From The Front

Ajinkya Rahane completed his 12th Test century on Sunday as he played a magnificent knock against the Australians. Rahane came into bat at number four for team India after the Indian Cricket Team bulldozed the Kangaroos for just 195 runs on Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test.


Now, India and Australia will collide in the third Test from January 7 at Sydney. Star Indian opener, Rohit Sharma will join the side from the third Test. Australian opener David Warner will also join the side from the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy.
