England seamer Ollie Robinson warned the Australian cricket team ahead of the Ashes series in 2023, saying that the Three Lions could give a “good hiding” in the summer. Ollie Robinson believes that England are in a good position to regain the trophy in the upcoming Ashes series on home soil.

England will host the most anticipated five-match Ashes series, with the first Test scheduled to begin on June 16 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The second test will be held at Lord’s Cricket Ground, the third at Headingley in Leeds, the fourth at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester, and the final match at Kennington Oval in London.

England lost to Australia 4-0 in the last Ashes series in Australia. The Three Lions drew their last Ashes series 2-2 at home after winning their series in England in 2015. The Pat Cummins-led team will be hoping to win a series in England for the first time in 22 years.

It’s A Dream Come True To Be Involved In A Home Ashes – Ollie Robinson

Speaking to BBC Radio Sussex, Ollie Robinson said that it was a dream come true to play in an Ashes series at home. Robinson believes that England are well placed to win the trophy.

“With the team and squad we have at the moment it’s such an exciting time to play Australia at home. When we went to Australia we weren’t quite at our best. I really feel we could get one over them this summer and give them a good hiding. It’s a dream come true to be involved in a home Ashes. It doesn’t get much better than that,” Robinson said.

Brendon Mccullum And Stokesy Have Changed The Game – Ollie Robinson

The 29-year-old believes opponents will eventually try to match England’s aggressive style of play due to the entertainment factor they have been providing.

“There’ll come a point where other Test nations will have to try to play the way we play to compete. That can only be good for the fans and good to watch, the entertainment we are producing is like nothing we have seen in Test cricket before.”

“Teams will follow suit at some point, it just depends on how long it takes for some to do that. Brendon McCullum and Stokesy have changed the game for us – the confidence they’ve given the players, the batters especially.”

England have adopted a more positive and aggressive style of play that has been called “Bazball” under Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum. They won 11 out of their last 12 Tests, including overseas wins in Pakistan and New Zealand.
