Bangladesh National Cricket Team skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto opened up about the loss his team faced in the first T20I against the India National Cricket Team. He said that they didn't have a plan and would be looking to come up with proper plans in the next game.
Bangladesh National Cricket Team had a horrendous outing in the first T20I against the India National Cricket Team. The Najmul Hossain Shanto-led were outplayed in all three departments as they lost the game by the margin of 7 wickets and inside 12 overs of the chase.

But after that, Sanju Samson (29) and Suryakumar Yadav (29) added 40 runs in a flash to take the team close to victory. Before Hardik Pandya (39*) finished the game for his team inside 12 overs to go 1-0 up in the three-match T20I series.

Najmul Hossain Shanto admitted that the Bangladesh National Cricket Team didn't start well in the game, and according to him, it was a turning point. He said that they didn't cash on the powerplay. Before, adding that their plan to play positively didn't pay off. Speaking to broadcasters, he explained:
"Yes, I think we didn't start well. In T20, the first six overs are important, but we didn't do well. The plan was to play positive cricket, but we had to manage some of how we wanted to approach it. Looks like we didn't have much plan but we need to do proper plan in the next match."

Najmul Hossain Shanto added that they need to focus on rotating the strike, and if they had wickets in hand, they would've scored a good amount of runs. He talked about the positives as well but claimed bowlers didn't have enough runs to defend.
"We need to focus on rotating the strike, T20 is not only about hitting. If we keep wickets in hand, we can get a good score. We didn't score many runs. Rishad bowled well, and Fizz was also good, but we didn't have enough runs."
