The former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum claimed during an interview with Adam Gilchrist on SEN WA Breakfast that the team’s performance can be attributed to a mentality where players strive to create a “brand of cricket” that will satisfy themselves and spectators.

McCullum’s first four Tests as England’s red-ball coach have provided an exciting look into the future, and his strategy has been a box business success.

McCullum was questioned about his team’s new approach as he spoke with reporters following England’s 3-0 victory over New Zealand. “I have not given it any thought. I just look at the squad we have and assume those who fit the bill for what we are seeking to accomplish and the elegance we want to play. It is most likely not what we are looking for. “I am happy with what we have right now,” McCullum said.

‘We also must entertain’: Brendon McCullum

The former New Zealand skipper claimed during an interview with Adam Gilchrist on SEN WA Breakfast that the team’s performance can be attributed to a culture in which players strive to create a “brand of cricket” that will satisfy themselves and spectators.

McCullum stated, “I definitely would not say that we have changed the face of Test cricket.”

“All we strive to do is play a style of cricket that gives the boys the most fulfillment and the most opportunities. We also owe it to ourselves to entertain people.”

“Since society has evolved and people no longer always have five days to sit down and watch cricket, “I think Test cricket… it is been a hard period for those who love the game of Test cricket.”

The press nicknamed the new attacking approach implemented by McCullum and captain Ben Stokes as BazBall, after McCullum’s nickname.
