"What an embarrassment": BCCI slammed after wet outfield forces Day 3 call-off in India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test

Fans on Twitter reacted after Day 3 of the ongoing Test between the India National Cricket Team and the Bangladesh National Cricket Team was called off due to the wet outfield. The last game of the series between the teams commenced on Friday (27th September) at Green Park in Kanpur.
Rain has played a massive part in the ongoing game between India and Bangladesh. The game had a delayed start but the first session of the Day 1 was played without any stoppage. However, just after a few overs in the second session, the rain was back, and the players had to walk back to the dressing room.
The rain gods then didn't go easy as the entire Day 1 of the game was called off. It was expected that play would resume on Day 2, but things turned out even worse. The second day of the second India vs Bangladesh was called off without a single ball being bowled due to the continuous rains.
There was a brim of hope that the match would resume on Day 3 as there wasn't any rain. The umpires did quite a few inspections but even with no rain, the day was called off. The wet outfield at the Green Park in Kanpur didn't convince the umpires, and hence, players returned to the hotel early for the third straight day.
The forecast for the last two days of the game also doesn't look great. And with not even one inning completed, there are very few chances that the game would produce results. There is a very high possibility that the match might get called off or will end up in a draw.
India had won the toss and opted to field first. With overcast conditions, it was a watchful start for the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. Akash Deep had picked two wickets for the hosts, while Ravichandran Ashwin had bagged one. Mominul Haque (40*) and Mushfiqur Rahim (6*) were at the crease with Bangladesh at 105/3 in 35 overs.

The drainage facilities have to be truly shambolic that play gets called off for 2 days in a row when there has just been a drizzle on one day and no rain at all on the second.

If it's raining constantly one can't do much but not having a ball bowled on a day like this doesn't reflect well.

Hope future Tests are planned better on grounds with adequate drainage facilities. https://t.co/ucOtNAFcKL

Even Srilanka has better drainage system than some of the Indian grounds. Such a pathetic service by BCCI. Instead of increasing No. Of grounds, BCCI should rather focus on quality of grounds. Make the ground staff rich, not the players.

Play on Day 3 in Kanpur has been called off due to a wet outfield. Despite no rain since the morning, the richest board was unable to dry the outfield. An easy match for India is now heading towards a draw due to BCCI's poor management.#KanpurTest #BCCI pic.twitter.com/uQnjcNBG4F

The richest cricket board @BCCI doesn't have a single stadium which can compete with any stadium in Australia or England in any aspects,

To hide its failure in the Kanpur Test, BCCI has been giving IPL news and updates since last night, but the truth is that the world's richest cricket board has nothing in the name of ground facilities.
It's shameful🙏#indvsban #KanpurTest

BCCI should apologise to fans officially. No rain since morning and still ground is not ready.

Virat was not wrong in 2018 when he wants 5 specific test venues for India like SENA countries. Kanpur must be banned for this shitty organisation. #KanpurTest
As per reports #BCCI officials were using simple tarpaulin covers for the ground which wasn't even waterproof, they brought these from local market from retail shop. Is this how Test cricket is being run in #India ? where is corrupt #UPCA officials ,Rajiv shukla? #KanpurTest

How could BCCI give a test match to Green Park, with being certain as to how they would handle rain? They failed. And that could prove fatal in the long run and could impact WTC points after the Aus series, we should have taken all the advantage, while we can. #KanpurTest
