When Ramiz Raja Leaves PCB, I Will Make An Announcement About My Availability If Needed – Mohammad Amir

Former Pakistan National Cricket Team left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir has opened up on his comeback plans, asserting that he would make his comeback announcement, if needed, after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja steps down from his position.
Mohammad Amir announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020 citing unfair treatment from the management.

Since the retirement of the pacer, who made a comeback to the Pakistan team in 2016 after serving a five-year ban in a spot-fixing case, there has been a change in the Pakistan management with the appointment of Ramiz Raja as chairman.
However, the former left-arm pacer has said that he may consider coming out of retirement only after Raja leaves PCB.
“Our relationship goes back a long way, and it won’t end. Everyone knows Ramiz Raja’s views about me, so I don’t think this is the right time to consider taking back retirement. When Ramiz Raja leaves PCB, I will make an announcement about my availability if needed,” Amir told Samaa TV.

While talking about himself, Amir said that he doesn’t have any competition. The left-arm pacer mentioned that he was in the ICC rankings for a good amount of time even after being dropped from the team.
“I don’t think there is a competition of myself with anyone. I was the only bowler who was in the ICC rankings. Even when I was dropped after the World Cup, I was still in the rankings for a good year and a half.”
“The skills that I have don’t compare to anyone, along with my mindset. I don’t think there are any comparisons because everyone has a different class and I am the only one in my class,” he added.
