Bangladesh will take on West Indies in the third and final ODI in Guyana on July 16, Saturday. The side has already won the series by winning the first two games and are eyeing a whitewash over their opponents. The series, however, is not a part of the ICC ODI Super League.
Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal was over the moon by the way his players played the first two ODIs. Their bowlers bowled out the opposition for 108 and then chased down the score in just over 20 overs. They won the game by nine wickets registering their biggest overseas win in terms of wickets. Iqbal himself scored an unbeaten 50 in the chase.
“I said that this is a format that we are proud about, and we have performed well in the past. Dressing room wasn’t the happiest (after the Tests and T20Is) but everyone was keen to win. It’s a great feeling to win but there is still room for improvement, and need to tick more boxes. Aim is clearly the next ODI World Cup next year. I was batting well, just that I wasn’t converting starts” said Tamim.
Heading into the final game, they should ideally play the same XI that won them the second ODI in such a dominating fashion.

Tamim scored an unbeaten 50 in the second ODI as Bangladesh won the game by nine wickets. He needs to play another captain’s knock in the final ODI. He is also the team’s top scorer in ODIs with nearly 8000 ODI runs.
