Grenada is all set to host the WI vs ENG third T20I on Saturday, a must-win for England to stay alive in the tournament. West Indies have won the first two games and are one win away from a series win. They won the first T20I by four wickets and the second T20I by 10 runs.

England have already lost the ODI series 2-1 and are potentially one loss away from losing the T20I series as well. England had a really forgetful World Cup campaign where they finished seventh on the points table with just three wins and six losses. They failed to make it to the final four after entering the tournament as the defending champions.

They did not have a good start to the T20I series after losing the ODI series. Skipper Jos Buttler especially has struggled with the bat. He scored 39 in the first T20I and just five in the second. The England skipper just scored 61 runs in the ODI series at an average of 30.20.

West Indies have dominated the hosts so far in the series. They won the ODI series and played attacking cricket in the T20I series so far. Their bowlers defended 176 in the second T20I. Akeal Hosein and Alzarri Joseph shared five wickets between themselves to derail the England chase.

The five-match T20I series will be an ideal preparation for the T20 World Cup 2024. England are the defending champions of the T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, the hosts West Indies have earned direct qualification as hosts of the event. They missed qualifying for the T20 World Cup 2022. The final three games will be tough for England in very different conditions than what they are accustomed to.
