India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli achieved a massive feat in the history of ODI cricket. The right-hander became only the third player in the world to go past 14000 runs in the 50-over cricket, joining Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara.

Virat Kohli achieved the feat during the ongoing game against Pakistan National Cricket Team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The fifth game of the tournament between the teams is taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday (23rd February).

Virat Kohli, who was criticized a lot for his poor outing in the last game, has played a vital innings for his team. The batter, who was out of form, has continued his golden run with the bat against Pakistan National Cricket Team in the ODI cricket.

Virat Kohli has slammed a magnificent half-century and now has the joint most plus scores in the history of the ICC ODI events. This was also his 8th fifty-plus score against Pakistan National Cricket Team in the ICC events. Notably, he has played just 15 innings against Men in Green.

Virat Kohli also became the quickest to 14000 runs in the ODIs. He achieved the feat in 287 innings. He broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar, who had taken 350 innings to reach the feat, and Kumar Sangakkara, who took 378 outings, to the milestone in ODI cricket.

Virat Kohli breached the 14000-run mark with a wonderful cover drive against Haris Rauf. He took 63 innings less than Sachin Tendulkar, which speaks about the kind of impact that he had made in the ODI cricket for the India National Cricket Team since his debut.

Not only this, Virat Kohli also achieved a massive record during fielding as well. He picked two catches and became the Indian player with the most number of catches in ODI cricket, going past Mohammad Azharuddin's tally of 156 catches.

Virat Kohli has 50 tons in ODI and is at the top of the list in terms of centuries in the format. The premier India National Cricket Team batter would be eyeing another ton and helping his team win a second consecutive game of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
