Pietersen, who scored runs at a strike rate of 226.32 representing the World Giants team, opened the innings with South Africa’s Herschelle Gibbs and helped his team chase the 150-run target in just 13 overs to register a comprehensive 7-wicket win against Asia Lions.

Meanwhile, Indian cricketer Shreevats commented on Pietersen’s post and asked him to return to the marquee Indian Premier League (IPL)

“Get back in to the ipl mate,” Goswami wrote to Pietersen. 

Kevin Pietersen came up with an epic response to Goswami’s tweet and he stated that if he comes back he will be “too expensive” and will probably end up being the leading run-getter in the tournament.

Notably, Kevin Pietersen, who retired from cricket in the year 2018, had played for five Indian Premier League teams in his career, he represented Deccan Chargers, Delhi Daredevils, Rising Pune Supergiants, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
