Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal has been booked in a sexual harassment case following serious allegations by a woman from Ghaziabad. The woman accused the 27-year-old cricketer of emotionally, mentally, and physically exploiting her under the false promise of marriage.
The left-arm pacer began his IPL career with the Gujarat Titans (GT) in 2022. He played a crucial role in helping the Royal Challengers secure their maiden IPL title in 2025. Dayal took 13 wickets in 15 matches at an average of 36.15. He impressed with his bowling during the death overs in the tournament.
Yash Dayal Booked Under Section 69 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita in Sexual Harassment Case
Yash Dayal has been booked under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The charge, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine, was filed after a preliminary police investigation.
FIR was registered at the Indirapuram police station based on a complaint submitted by a woman from Ghaziabad. She had filed her grievance on June 21 through the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s online portal, alleging emotional, physical, and mental abuse under a false promise of marriage.
“He repeatedly made physical advances with me by falsely promising marriage and introduced me to his family, who assured that I would be their daughter-in-law. I maintained the relationship with complete honesty and dedication,” the woman alleged.
Woman Alleges Betrayal and Emotional Trauma by Yash Dayal
The woman alleged that Dayal and his family repeatedly gave her false assurances. She further said that his involvement with other women pushed her to the brink, and she attempted to take her own life multiple times due to the emotional pain. However, Dayal has not responded to the allegations.
“I tried to end my life many times because I couldn’t get out of the mental pain, and he and his family kept giving me false assurances. His relationship with other women caused me deep mental trauma and broke me down,” she alleged.
A week after filing the complaint, the woman told Dainik Bhaskar that Dayal had been seeing multiple women during the time they were in a relationship.
Woman Urges Swift Legal Action Against Yash Dayal
The woman has called for urgent legal action against Yash Dayal. She filed a complaint through the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s online portal, including evidence such as photos and call records. She stated that many women fall prey to emotional manipulation disguised as relationships.
Following a preliminary inquiry, police found the woman’s claims credible and registered an FIR at the Indirapuram police station. Authorities confirmed that legal proceedings are underway, but Dayal has not yet been arrested. His arrest will depend on further corroboration and procedural steps.
The woman stated that her aim is not revenge but justice and hopes her actions will encourage other women facing similar situations to come forward.
