“I respect Virat Kohli as a player, and he is going to come out of it as a much better player,” West Indies legend Brian Lara told News 18.

“He will be learning a lot of things at this point in time. You cannot write him off,” added the former West Indies captain.

Kohli has been rested for four series since the last T20 World Cup: New Zealand, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the current Caribbean trip. Furthermore, he has been rested for the three-match One-Day International series in Zimbabwe, which begins on August 18.
