1. Prithvi Shaw shot into limelight when he first struck that stunning 546-run knock in the Harris Shield Cricket. He smashed as many 85 boundaries in his knock that required 300 balls. He led the team for two title wins in 2013 and 2014. It is the most prestigious tournament in India as far as school tournaments are concerned.

2. As a child, he would travel all the way from Virar, a township on the outskirts of Mumbai, to Churchgate, a journey which took nearly two hours, for his daily cricketing net sessions

3. Then, he made a big step in his career by selecting for the Ranji Trophy at the very young age of 17 years.

4. He scored debut century in Ranji Trophy against Tamil Nadu to equal Sachin Tendulkar’s record.

5. Then, Shaw has been picked for Duleep Trophy. He once again knocked a century on his debut where he outsmarted the record of Sachin Tendulkar.

6. He went on to score 5 centuries in his 9 first class games.

7. In 2012, Prithvi Shaw was welcomed to England to play for the Cheadle Hulme school in Manchester. He scored a century on debut and ended up with 1,446 runs during his two-month stay.

8. Then, a sweet memory in his career. He led the Indian team to victory in the U19 ICC World Cup 2019.

9. Another glorious step in his career came when Delhi Daredevils handed him the contract in the Indian Premier League.

10. Then, you know, the call-up by the BCCI to join Indian team in England tour. Though he hasn’t got the nod to make his debut, he got enough exposure to the world. Finally, he made his debut in Rajkot and scored a century there as well.
