3 Indian Players Who Have The Last Chance To Prove Themselves In T20I Series Against West Indies; It has been a brilliant season for Indian National Cricket Team across the formats. They are on top of the game in Tests and showed they are capable of making things fall in place in ODI format of the game. However, if there could be any point of concern, it would be the recent performances in the shortest form of the game. They even lost a game to Bangladesh after drawing a series with South Africa. Mind you, both the losses came playing in home conditions.

Though there are some excellent performances by the Indian players, there are a few players who are going through a rough patch. We have figured out three such players, who need to perform at any cost to retain their place in the playing XI in the shortest format of the game. Have a look:

3. Kuldeep Yadav:

The left-handed spinning prodigy is making a comeback into the Indian team after a lengthy delay. Though he started his career on an excellent note, the flamboyant cricketer failed to make things fall in place after batsmen began reading him. He was thrashed in Indian Premier League and also, in ICC World Cup 2019, batsmen looked pretty comfortable in dealing him.

All those moments have made the selectors switch away from him in the shortest format by bringing in players like Krunal Pandya and Washington Sundar in the side. However, with Pandya failing to perform, Kuldeep Yadav once again got the chance to show his calibre. If he fails this time, perhaps, that would be the curtains for his dreams to represent India in the T20 World Cup.

2. KL Rahul:

Apart from the half-century in the final T20I against Bangladesh, KL Rahul failed to make use of his opportunity in the absence of the regular skipper Virat Kohli. He never looked settled in the crease and struggled to score runs at a reasonable strike rate for the team. Though he has got a couple of T20I centuries, Rahul has struggled for consistency.

Conversion rate has always been a problem for him in this format. The upcoming series is going to be his final chance to show what he is capable of doing for the team. With the players like Mayank Agarwal and a few other swashbuckling opening batsmen being available in the domestic circuit, it is high time for KL Rahul to deliver.

Most probably, he will open the innings for India in the absence of the regular opener Shikhar Dhawan. KL Rahul carries a good average of 42 in his 31 T20I games but poor outings in recent times have found him in the firing line.

1. Rishabh Pant:

Perhaps, every reader would have expected his name to be on the chart after looking at the headline. The flamboyant cricketer is currently on the hot seat with the analysts, and the cricketing fanatics judging every minute details of him. However, no one to be blamed, as he took the position from such a stalwart player of the Indian National Cricket Team, MS Dhoni.

Besides that, his poor show with the bat certainly made him stay on the wrong side of things. With Sanju Samson waiting in the wings, Rishabh Pant must deliver the goods at any cost for India against West Indies to retain his spot in the playing XI.

His last nine scores across all formats have been 6, 0, 27, 19, 0, 27, 24, 20 and 0. It shows that Rishabh Pant is not in his best of forms. Still, the BCCI selectors have shown trust on him to make things fall in place against West Indies. If he fails to perform in the 3-match series, perhaps, he might make way for Sanju Samson in the next series.
