The flamboyant batsman has grown from strength to strength in his career in the last few years to become one of the modern greats of the game. While some criticise his loudmouthedness and aggressive nature on the field, others rever his pure batting style and the never-say-die attitude. Fan or critic, everyone surely wants to know one thing about Virat Kohli – “What’s the recipe that makes this man arguably the greatest cricketer of this generation?”

However, it is tough to decode, as he simply plays all the shots of the Textbook. Currently, he is one of the finest cricketers of the modern age and doing his job for the Indian National Cricket Team as the skipper and the batsman of the team across the formats.

I would learn cooking – Virat Kohli

Most of India’s chances are dependent on him, as he is such a consistent performer for the team. Though it is hard to find out his secret, there is a known thing about him that he trusted being fit is the ultimate thing for a cricketer in order to perform consistently. He is undergoing hard workouts and the diet to overcome the troubles on the field. However, he wants to become that foodie guy again following his retirement.

“I’ve been a foodie since I was a kid, I loved trying foods, used to eat a lot of junk bag then. But then I started travelling and trying different cuisines but yeah I love food….love having well-cooked food,” Kohli said in the interview.

“I do not (cook) but I understand flavour, I understand how well a dish is cooked, so can potentially learn it. When I’m done with playing cricket I think cooking is something, I would definitely be interested in,” Kohli who recently turned 31 added.

Currently, he is away from the game, as he took a break from the International Cricket. However, he will be returning to the game when India locks horns with Bangladesh in the Test series.
